Based primarily on the methodologies of Kristin Linklater and Judith Koltai’s Embodied Practice, you will explore sensory awareness, freeing the breath/voice connection, resonance, and articulation through physical practice.

4 Week Embodied Voice Study (For Performers)
Identify habitual patterns that are inhibiting a fully embodied experience and discover the power of your voice. This course is designed to build a personal voice practice. Over four weeks we will explore key elements such as breath awareness, postural alignment,sensory awareness, resonance, and emotional connection. You will leave with tools that you can continue to practice on your own, and help you gain confidence in your scene work and auditions. Time will be given in each session to integrate vocal discoveries into text and acting work. Please bring either a memorized monologue or poetry text (2 mins max)
Age 19+.

The Performer’s Voice & Movement Intensive
Join Erin Ormond and Cindy Block for a dynamic day of body/voice integration for the actor.
Through movement, breath practice, centering and sound we will explore physical, emotional and intellectual presence into resonance. This day-long intensive offers a supportive, playful and restorative atmosphere in which to expand your awareness, align your intentions and embrace your whole self in performance. Performers at any level will leave feeling more grounded, empowered and confident. Bring a short (no more than 1 minute) piece of memorized text (monologue or poetry)
